How do you best display ‘kingly politeness’?

Punctuality is the politeness of kings.”

Louis XVIII (1755 – 1824), French king

From the folks coaching sales leaders: “Punctuality is a sign of respect – respect for your time and the time of the person you’re meeting. Something as simple as showing up on time – for a sales call, at the office, for a hair appointment – speaks volumes about your character. Arriving a bit early speaks even louder.”

I chuckled when I came across this nugget this morning. To the dismay of some of the folks who know me, being on time is important to me. It is ingrained in me. Love me or leave me, but this is a quote that seems to live in my DNA.

How polite…oops, I mean punctual…are you?
